Whether you're new to serving in the city or have spent years walking alongside your neighbors, this workshop will deepen your understanding of the realities of poverty.
Many veteran ministry leaders and community advocates have found that this seminar gives language to experiences they've encountered. Together, participants will develop a practical framework for understanding poverty by exploring mental models of poverty, theories of change, hidden class rules, available resources, family structures, and the role of language and culture.
Date & Time: October 3, 2026 | 9am - 3pm
Location: John Knox Presbyterian Church
Participants are encouraged to consider a freewill offering of $10.00 for workshop materials and lunch.
